When will I receive my goods after paying the customs fees?
After customs clearance is completed, we will send the decision to the client by email, who then arranges the payment. Once the payment is received in the NAV’s (Hungarian Tax and Customs Administration) bank account, they will electronically authorize the release of the goods.
Where can I apply for a VPID number?
You can apply for the identification number via the Hungarian Government’s Client Gate (Ügyfélkapu). Log in to the website https://onya.nav.gov.hu/ with your Client Gate+ ID. Then navigate as follows: “New form” – “Declarations” – “Data and change declaration” – “Tax card, customs identification number application, mailing address declaration” – “Customs identification number application, modification of related data” – “APPLICATION” (button).
What is a customs inspection, and what happens during one?
In certain cases during customs clearance, the Customs Office may request an inspection of a shipment. If the goods are located in the Focus-Customs temporary warehouse, we will arrange for the inspection to be carried out.
Can I ask Focus-Customs to issue an EUR-1 certificate?
Our company will fill out the EUR-1 certificate sealed by the client and submit it to the Customs Office.
Is it possible to make a subsequent modification?
Upon a client’s request, it is possible to modify a previous customs clearance. This requires a request in which they authorize our company to correct the requested data. To the Customs Office, it is necessary to submit a customs clearance authorization authenticated via the Client Gate, a specimen signature, and the modification request. Additionally, depending on the nature of the modification, other documents may be required, such as a freight invoice, a corrected EUR-1 certificate, etc.
